Just seen your photos for the first time, William. What gorgeous images - you manage to capture nature from such unusual angles that you show textures and visual patterns that one misses when looking at it every day.

Thanks, Leyla, very kind of you to say so. Weirdly I picked my camera up today for the first time in ages, I think I might take some candid shots backstage at the theatre.

More importantly: can you guess what this is a picture of?

It could be a close up of a fruit with drops of water, a carambola, star fruit? Even if it is not, it is a great image.

Seeing as it's been almost two years I can reveal that this is a photograph of the frozen dew on the wing mirror of my old car. It was a freezing morning when I spotted the surprisingly uniform pattern of the frozen water droplets, but it was worth getting out of bed for.
